  Recent research in the US has revealed that corporate managers spend 50 per cent of their working day making, watching or preparing presentations. Research also identifies public speaking as a greater fear for people than such horrors as death and poverty. (According to comedian Jerry Seinfeld, an American asked to give the eulogy at a funeral would prefer to be in the coffin!) This poses a serious dilemma for anyone who is climbing the corporate ladder. Success is closely related to how well one can deliver a persuasive point of view â yet the prospect of making a presentation is, for many, fraught with anxiety.
